Group1(Edpuzzle) - factor that effluent storage and movement of groundwater

Assalamualaikum dan salam sejahtera, kami telah diberi tugas untuk melakukan Edpuzzle dan ini serba sedikit isi kami lakukan.

GROUNDWATER is the water found in the cracks and spaces in soil, sand and rock. It is stored in and moves slowly through aquifers
• It is the largest reservoir of fresh water that is readily available to humans.
• Groundwater flows underground within cracks in rocks or through pores in gravel and sands. The layers of rocks or sediment that contain groundwater in sufficient quantities for use are called aquifers.
• Aquifers can be seen as natural storage tanks that are recharged by rain or river flow. Because water can be banked between rainfall events, it is a more reliable supply than rivers.

Porosity
– Percentage of total volume of rock or sediment that
consists of pore spaces
• Determines how much groundwater can be stored
• Variations can be considerable over short distances
• Permeability, aquitards and aquifers – Permeability
• The ability of a material to transmit a fluid
– Aquitard
• Am impermeable layer that hinders or prevents water
movement(such as clay)
– Aquifer
• Permeable rock strata or sediment that transmit give freely( such as sands and gravel)
